What do Park City’s most expensive homes sold this year have in common?
- They were all listed by Summit Sotheby’s International Realty.
- All were located in gated, ski in/ski out luxury communities in Deer Valley® Resort.
- All had panoramic ski run views.
- All were very large with plenty of spaces for entertaining guests.
- All were professionally decorated.
Amenities in the homes include ski prep room/lounge, wine room, library, game room, home theater and indoor pool.
Red Tail Court, Deer Valley® Resort
The most expensive of the three homes, located on Red Tail Court in Deer Valley® Resort’s exclusive gated community, Bald Eagle, was completely renovated. The style of this home is mountain contemporary, with an open floor plan. Sale price was in the $12 million range.
Bald Eagle Drive, Deer Valley® Resort
The home on Bald Eagle Drive was built in 1996 and remodeled in 1998. It is a very grand home, but the finishes are not as up to date as in the other two homes. Perhaps this is the reason why this home fetched just 53% of asking price when it sold at auction just under $7 million. Even buyers of high end luxury homes are willing to take the time and expense to renovate when they can pick up a home for a bargain price.
Summit View Drive, Deer Valley® Resort
The home on Summit View Drive located in Deer Valley® Resort’s exclusive gated community Deer Crest, was built in 2014. The home also featured a mountain contemporary design with an open floor plan and stacked stone. Buyers at all spectrums of the real estate market prefer new construction and will pay for it. In this case, the sale price was in the mid $5 million range.
Which of these three homes is your favorite and why? If you had $5 to $15 million to spend on a home, would you choose a home in Deer Valley® Resort, or another Park City luxury property?
