Summertime and the Park City livin’ is easy. As we wrap up July and head into August, we’re officially turning the corner into mid-summer. As such, I thought it would be a good time to talk about a lighthearted topic that was a request from a client. After reading my blog about Park City Cocktails, she wanted to know the best places for an outdoor cocktail in PC.
Utah has come a long way from its rep of being somewhat of a dry state. But there are still a few important laws to be aware of. For example, you may not think the difference between a bar and a restaurant is a big deal when it comes to having a cocktail, but in Utah, these are the types of rules and regulations businesses have to abide by.
The days are long, the temps are high, and the only thing better than a cocktail while enjoying the wonderful Park City outdoors is if someone else makes it for you. So without further ado, I give you my top list of places to enjoy a cocktail al fresco.
Hearth & Hill
While somewhat new to the Park City restaurant scene, Hearth and Hill has quickly become a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Located in Kimball Junction. https://hearth-hill.com
Boneyard
Rooftop dining experiences are hard to come by in Park City, but luckily, Boneyard has us covered. With a fully stocked bar and views for days, this is a must-do for those who imbibe. https://www.boneyardsaloon.com
Corner Store
Since 1974, The Corner Store has been at the base of Park City Mountain and is open from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. so you can enjoy a mimosa or cocktail whenever you like. https://thecornerpc.com
Blind Dog
Truly one of the best patios on this list, you’ll enjoy a backyard feel with a couple dozen of your favorite friends at Blind Dog. Tie up the pup, grab a drink and play a little cornhole toss while you’re at it. https://www.blinddogpc.com
Windy Ridge
With seasonally crafted cocktails, casual outdoor dining and comfort food with a twist, you can’t go wrong with this longtime stronghold from the Bill White Restaurant Group. https://windyridgecafe.com
Silver Star Cafe
I don’t know what’s better. The food, music, space or people. Luckily at Silver Star Cafe, you don’t have to choose. Grab a cocktail and a seat and enjoy the show. https://www.thesilverstarcafe.com
Montage
Burgers and Bourbon may sound casual, but in this Deer Valley-esque atmosphere, you’re sure to be transported to a place of craft spirits with mountainside views to die for. https://www.montagehotels.com/deervalley/dining/burgers-bourbon
St. Regis
If you’re looking for me apres ski in the wintertime, look no further than Brasserie 7452 at St. Regis Deer Valley. It’s got an extensive patio with fireplaces and views for days. The cocktails and wildflowers are icing on the cake. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/slcxr-the-st-regis-deer-valley/dining
The Spur
The Spur Bar & Grill hosts excellent musical acts with two patios for your outdoor cocktailing pleasure. Enjoy your sips while looking at Main Street or Suede Alley. http://www.thespurbarandgrill.com
No Name Saloon
Since the turn of the century, No Name has been serving the people of Park City with food and drink. Their rooftop patio is open year-round and is one of the best places to sit and enjoy Main Street’s hustle and bustle. https://www.nonamesaloon.com
Bonus
Have an Outdoor Cocktail Near Park City. These are two of my favorite places to have an outdoor cocktail in the Kamas area.
High Star
With some of the best views of the Kamas Valley and the Wasatch Mountains, I’m proud to say this outdoor cocktail spot is also my community. There’s a little something on the menu for everyone, so give it a try. https://highstarranch.com/food
The Notch
As long as you aren’t afraid of a little dive bar bathroom, The Notch is one of the coolest places around. Nestled in the Uinta Mountains up Mirror Lake Highway, it’s a must-stop on your way to or from your next hike or camp spot. https://www.thenotchpub.com

I would add four . . . Pendry and Hyatt Centric at the Canyons and Fuego’s back deck and Salt Box (a Riverhorse restaurant) in Prospector.
