Since I’m not a golfer, I enlisted the help of my partner, Justin Altman, to write this blog about the wonderful public golf courses in the Wasatch Back. Enjoy!
Park City is home to many stunning private golf clubs and gated communities, but the city and surrounding areas have a number of phenomenal courses and clubs open to the public as well! I have been fortunate enough to play all the public courses around and wanted to highlight them for you!
Park City Golf Club
Park City Golf Club is a tremendous municipal course in the heart of Park City. Set against the backdrop of Park City Resort it is an incredibly fun course with scenery to match! During the peak of the summer, they offer “Twilight” rates where you can set off for a small fee and play until it’s too dark to see, usually around 9 pm!

Canyons Golf Course Park City

Mountain Dell Golf Course
Mountain Dell Golf Course is about 15 minutes west of Kimball Junction and features two great courses, the Canyon Course and the Lake Course. These courses are surrounded by mountain scenery and forests and offer a nice variety of challenges. I would recommend the Lake Course, although a bit more difficult, you will find more variety from hole to hole with unique scenery along the way.

Soldier Hollow Golf Course
Soldier Hollow Golf Course is located in Midway, Utah, just a short drive from Park City. It offers 36 holes spread across two courses, the Gold Course and the Silver Course, both with scenic mountain views. I recommend the Gold Course. While a bit more challenging, the elevation gives you a great view of the valley and some interesting holes!

- 18 Holes (non-resident): $80 (weekdays), $85 (weekends)

Wasatch Mountain Golf Course
Wasatch Mountain Golf Course is located in Midway, Utah, within Wasatch Mountain State Park. It offers 36 holes of championship golf spread across two courses, the Lake Course and the Mountain Course, set amidst stunning mountain scenery and forests. I recommend the Lake Course if you can get on it. It is the easier of the two but also more scenic!
