By now, you know that Park City offers so much more than its world-famous ski resorts and breathtaking mountain landscapes. In fact, I’ve written over 500 articles spanning everything from camping to brunch and social clubs to day spas. But what about the arts?
About the Monthly Art Gallery Stroll
For art enthusiasts and culture seekers, the Park City Gallery Association (PCGA) has been illuminating the vibrant art scene in our little corner of the world since it formed in 2006. Every last Friday of the month, the PCGA hosts a Gallery Stroll. It’s an experience that brings together locals and visitors to enjoy Park City’s diverse art galleries.
With fifteen galleries participating in this monthly event, you’re sure to find one that speaks to you. You’ll find photography, sculpture, paintings and mixed media in a range of prices. While the art is really the star of the show, you’ll also experience some food, drinks and music as you stroll the from gallery to gallery.
Note that there are at least a handful of galleries that are located off-Main Street, but that most are connected via free public transportation. You can always look out for the Gallery Association flags to make sure you’re in the right place. And, be sure to check the Association’s website for the latest participating galleries, dates, times and special events.
For example, at the time of this writing we are less than two weeks away from the “Art & Music Gallery Stroll” on September 29th. This special edition of the stroll is a partnership with Mountain Town Music and the Arts Council and features live music at six of the venues.
So, here is your invitation immerse yourself in art and connect with the local artistic community. Why not make a night of it with dinner or drinks? Just be sure to make a reservation in advance.
