There are so many fun things to do in the Park City area on any given day. Skiing, yoga, hiking, shopping, library events, coffee shops and art venues are some ways we fill our free time. But what about events that have a more organized social aspect? After the isolation we all experienced with the pandemic these past few years, joining a social club might be just the ticket to getting out of the house and meeting new people.
I saw with my own two eyes how many newcomers moved to town during this time period. Joining one of these social clubs is a great way to get into the fold of Park City, mixing in the new with the old. But social clubs aren’t just for new residents. There are many benefits to getting out and spending time with our peers. Even for those who are considered introverts, spending social time with peers promotes better mental health, can lighten your mood and foster a sense of belonging (Mercy Care).
For our list of Park City social clubs, we focused on adult groups that meet in person on a regular basis. There are other groups like “Park City Moms” on Facebook, but they don’t have organized regular meetups, so they were not included. In addition, we omitted clubs that had a home ownership requirement. For example, Promontory Club has some great social amenities but you must live in that neighborhood to partake.
