What a great time to visit Park City. I don’t understand why any full time residents would choose this time to leave, as the next couple of months are going to be great. The skies are sunny, the mountains are green, the days are warm and the nights are cool. Here are just a few things that our family is planning on doing in the next couple of weeks….
Wednesdays
Park City Farmer’s Market at Canyons Resort, 12-6pm
Frontier Bank Concert Series at Deer Valley® Resort Resort, 6-8pm
Thursdays
Newpark Town Center Summer Concert, 6pm
This Saturday evening, June 23
Savor The Summit-dinner party down the middle of Main Street. We are going with several of our neighbors. It will be my first time attending this annual event.
Sunday, July 1
My husband is doing the Egyptian Theater golfing fundraiser at The Homestead and I’ll be taking my parents, who will be visiting, to the Silly Market.
Tuesday, July 3
Canyons fireworks celebration and free concert by the Soulistics. I may skip the crowds and watch the fireworks from the deck of my house.
Wednesday, July 4
Annual Cole Sport 5k, which I have done in the past and am considering; Pancake breakfast at City Park; and I never miss the 4th of July parade down Main Street. This year will be extra special as my son will be playing the trumpet along with Band Director, Mr. Spitzer and several 7th-8th graders. Fireworks at Park City Mountain that evening.
Wednesday, July 4-July 87th
Oakley Rodeo
We did this last year and it was so much fun! Great venue where no seat is bad. Very family friendly environment. For city slickers like me, seeing a real, sanctioned rodeo just half an hour outside of Park City is not to be missed.
So there it is. We are going to be having a lot of fun during the next couple of weeks. Theses are just a sampling of things that we are planning on doing. For more information, check the Park City Chamber of Commerce website at www.visitparkcity.com.
