I moved over the hill from Park City to Kamas exactly four years ago. When I moved here, none of the stores below were open. Little did I know, I would be living in a rural town that became world-renowned because of our famous neighbor, social media influencer, Hannah Neeleman of Ballerina Farm.
Ballerina Farm is just one of the excellent new vendors in the Kamas Valley. In this blog, I share the local stores I frequent regularly for the best in farm-to-table food, gifts, and clothing. Just 10 miles and 15 minutes east of Park City, Kamas is still a peaceful hamlet where it’s not unusual to see real cowboys in Wrangler jeans at the grocery store and lost and found cows posted on Next Door. These stores are all located less than 5 minutes from each other, and if you are motivated, you can visit all of them on the same day.
Please note, all of these stores, except the self-serve +7 Farm Store, are closed on Sundays.
Ballerina Farm Stand
With over 20 million social media followers, Hanna Neeleman, owner of Ballerina Farm, along with her husband, Daniel, has created an endearing brand and an incredible product. The Farm Stand is the retail outpost of Ballerina Farm, the family-run farm, which is located about a mile away. I was ordering their products online before the farm stand opened. I love stopping in on my way home from my Park City office. I am a big fan of their whole milk plain yogurt, French salt (amazing!), granola, farm fresh eggs, and protein powder. I have also purchased burgers, chocolate chip cookies, and bacon from their freezer. Their selection of frozen baked goods will make you look like a celebrity chef at home. The store’s inventory changes daily, so I stop in a few times a week. I have not tried their raw milk, but my neighbors rave about it.
Open Tuesday-Friday, 9 am-6 pm and Saturday, 9 am-3 pm
1476 W 200 S, Kamas UT 84036
+7 Farm Store
Down the street from the Ballerina Farm Stand is the +7 Farm Store, which showcases our small-town charm by running an honor system farm stand. Shoppers go on their own time and check out using a scanner and an iPad. This little farm stand is stocked with goods from more than 20 local producers. The freezer is full of grass-fed local beef and some desserts and prepared meals. The refrigerator has local greens and eggs. There is quite an assortment of random local items, from granola, candles, pasta, and electrolytes, to freshly-baked bread.
Owned by local Chelsey Leavitt’s family, who own L2 Ranch, the producers of the local beef, this store is a treasure. I have purchased fabulous electrolytes made with Utah Salt, sourdough bread, the freshest salad greens, eggs, and delicious bacon. Since the store is located across the street from Kamas Food Town, it’s easy to stop there before or after my regular grocery shopping.
Open daily, 8 am-9 pm
231 S 175 W, Kamas UT 84036
Mandy Joes Bakery
This local bakery features freshly baked breads, donuts, brownies, bars, and cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls are sold unfrosted so you can dip your roll and get a mouthful of frosting with every bite. Everything is baked fresh in small batches with love from a small kitchen. The only issue is their limited hours, so if you have a craving for Mandy Joes, you might have to wait a few days.
Open Thursday-Friday from 11 am-6 pm and Saturday from 9 am-4 pm. They work on custom orders on Monday-Wednesday.
30 N. Main Street, Kamas, UT 84036

Bolt Ranch Store
The owners of Bolt Ranch Store live near the owners of Ballerina Farm and have opened this wonderful retail store to share the Western lifestyle with our community. Housed in a landmark 100-year-old building, Bolt Ranch Store is truly a local delight. Serving up high-quality, stylish Western wear apparel, their fans drive from all over Northern Utah, and specifically from the nearby high-end golf clubs like Victory Ranch and Tuhaye, to satisfy their craving for beautiful apparel, jewelry, boots, art, cowboy hats, and home accessories.
As a testament to their success, Bolt Ranch’s parking lot is constantly filled with luxury vehicles, as they cater to shoppers who crave a simpler time and friendly service. My daughter, who lives in Texas, purchased her cowboy boots at Bolt Ranch because they have such a remarkable selection. On that same visit, we ran into a neighbor who rides horses and was there for legit gear. I have also purchased high-end candles and books as gifts. This is a store where you can meander for hours. But if you don’t have the time or inclination, they offer personal shopping, free shipping, and a 30-day return policy!
Open Monday-Saturday from 9 am-5 pm
95 S Main Street, Kamas, UT 84036

The Stock Exchange
The Stock Exchange is a premium meat and butcher shop. In addition to Kamas locals, the second homeowners from Victory Ranch and Tuhaye can regularly be seen shopping here. (How do I know? They proudly wear their golf shirts!)
The Stock Exchange offers pasture-raised, craft beef, pork, lamb, veal, and chicken from farms across Utah and the Northwest, along with fresh and wild seafood. Their beef is aged and hand-cut daily. I am a regular at The Stock Exchange. I often serve their Scottish Salmon to guests who marvel at what a great cook I am. Really, the salmon is such high quality, it makes anyone look like an expert. I also buy the filet mignon or baseball Wagyu steaks, which are a home run every time. They serve sushi on Fridays by special order. I’ve written about The Stock Exchange before, but they changed owners since then and moved into a larger location across the street.
Open Monday-Friday from 11 am-6 pm and Saturday, from 11 am-5 pm
150 S Main Street, Kamas, UT 84036
Kamas Is Worth The Trip
Living in Kamas just keeps getting better and better. These shops are all locally owned and make a point of selling locally produced food and goods. If you haven’t been to Kamas in a while, give it a try. You can stop at the new Route 32 Bistro for lunch while you are here, or travel down the Mirror Lake Highway for incredible hiking, mountain biking, and views.
