Go see Dr. Seuss Secrets of the Deep. This free exhibit is at Redstone Gallery in Kimball Junction until December 31, 2011. www.theredstonegallery.com.
I have had the fortune of recently seeing two other Dr. Seuss exhibits in the past 2 months. My husband and I stumbled upon the first exhibit in Sausilito, California. I took my kids to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago during Thanksgiving when we saw “Dr. Seuss and the Art of Invention”. I was so excited to hear that Dr. Seuss was arriving in my hometown on December 3rd!
Even after seeing the other two exhibits, I was not disappointed. The Redstone Gallery has art from Dr. Seuss’ private, hidden collection, art that he signed using an alias, and of course prints from his beloved books. I was especially pleased that one could purchase prints for around $300.00 and books for around $50.00. Even the artwork was affordable.
We took the kids to The Redstone Gallery and I think they enjoyed seeing a large body of work in a small space. Don’t miss this wonderful and free exhibit. The art of Dr. Seuss will capture your heart and your imagination.
