If you are a Park City local, you may be familiar with some of these activities but might want to use an outfitter if you don’t want the pressure of being in charge. Here are just a few unique adventures I uncovered.

Private Park City Snowshoe Adventure with Exclusive Excursions
Snowshoeing is a great way to experience the mountains without the hustle, bustle, and crowds found on the slopes. Exclusive Excursions will provide snow gear and guide you through snow-covered mountains and valleys. (2 hours, $145)
MTXUtah Backcountry Snowshoeing in the Uinta Mountains
This is another outfitter offering a more rugged and adventurous trek. MTXUtah will take you (by permit) into the National Forest to capture amazing scenery and views. They will tailor the experience to your group’s comfort level, interest, and ability. (2 hours, $85)
Montage Deer Valley Private Powder Park Tubing Hill
A private tubing hill? What could be better except adding hot cocoa and s’mores to the experience? Located on the Grand Lawn of the Montage Deer Valley. Complimentary for hotel guests from 3 pm to 5 pm. Non-guests may reserve the hill for one hour for up to 15 people for $800. If you include hot cocoa and s’mores, it’s $950.
Eventful Yoga – Snowga
Yoga in the snow? Why not? Snowshoe through a forest to the top of Empire Pass, Deer Valley. Then, roll out your yoga mat and indulge in a warm beverage. Then, begin yoga in the stillness of the mountains on the snow. Move through poses and feel the positive energy of nature all around you. After yoga, you will enjoy another snowshoe trek back to your car. You can book a private session for your family or group.
Winter Fly Fishing with All Seasons Adventures
Fly fishing in the winter? Why not! Here in Park City, you can fly fish year-round. Enjoy the solitude of fewer anglers and plenty of trout. As long as you dress for the season, you will be comfortable on the coldest days. (5 – 8 hours, $195 – $320)
Dog Sledding Park City with All Seasons Adventures
See the Wasatch Mountain Range through the beauty of a dog sledding adventure. The mushers are all locals who ensure their dogs have a home for the rest of their lives. This is an activity anyone from 3 years and older can enjoy. And the little ones will enjoy meeting the friendly sled dogs and their pups. (1 hour, $450 – $530)
Park City Snowmobiling Tours with All Seasons Adventures
Ride high-end snowmobiles over scenic, secluded, privately-owned land. This thrilling adventure is a “must!” Helmets, powder jumpsuits, and boots are available for rent. The minimum age to ride is five years old, and you must have a valid driver’s license to drive. ($259 – $450/driver and $59 – $69/passenger)
Lift-serviced Ski Touring at The Lodge at Blue Sky, An Auberge Resort
Start on a ski lift and your backcountry expert will guide you through new terrain or bounce in and out of the resort to maximize vertical. All guides have the knowledge to create a safe and memorable day. As a hotel guest, the fee is $900 for the first person and $600 per additional person, lift ticket is not included. If you are not staying at the hotel, you can book directly with Inspired Summit, the outfitter.
Fat Bike Tour with Jan’s | White Pine Touring
Mountain biking in the winter? Of course! Jan’s local guides will ensure your tour fits your skill and comfort level as they guide you through Park City’s beautiful mountains and scenery. (2 – 4 hours, $175 per person, $100 per additional person)
Homestead Crater Adventure with Exclusive Excursions
Snowshoe or snowmobile and finish with a soak in the Homestead Crater in Midway. The crater is a natural hot spring with a temperature of 91 to 94 degrees and a soak in the warm minerals is a great way to cap off a day of outdoor adventure. Prices vary based on activity.
