Summer is by far my favorite season in Park City. The wildflowers bloom, the sun lingers a little longer, and the mountains hum with life. If you’re craving the kind of summer evening that blends fresh air, great music, and mountain views — this is it. Park City Institute’s Concerts on the Slopes is a summer live music series that turns the ski runs of Canyons Village into a stunning alpine amphitheater.
Live Music Meets Mountain Magic
Held on select Fridays and Saturdays in July and August at the Canyons Village amphitheater, Concerts on the Slopes offers a family-friendly music experience that’s truly unique to Park City. Groove to national touring acts or local favorites from your blanket or low-back chair, while enjoying a picnic dinner or beverage.
This year’s lineup includes Mike Posner, Flock of Seagulls, Naked Eyes and Men Without Hats (performing together for an ultimate 80s night!), Chris Botti, Plain White T’s, Diamond Rio, Blues Traveler, and Clint Black. There is such a variety of country music, pop, and jazz that you are bound to find at least one evening that resonates with you.
Tickets and packages start at just $11.80, making this an affordable evening for everyone. The music starts in the early evening — just in time to enjoy golden hour with a glass of wine or a cold beer in hand.
Why I Love It
Concerts on the Slopes is one of those quintessential experiences that captures the Park City vibe: laid back and cultured. For me, it’s a throwback to my early days of living here, when the Deer Valley concerts were more affordable and accessible. This Canyon’s venue is intimate, and parking is easy.
